Some will depend on what engine mounts you are using (I dont have the particulars but many vary in height) I believe the new holly mounts set the engine the lowest in a stock subframe. The firebird hoods actually have pretty good clearance. Maybe someone on here has test fit the truck intake on a bird & will chime in. Scott

Hey thanks for the input! Also I noticed the throttle peddle (dbw) is huge and bulky, will I gto peddle work with the sstb harness ?

I have not used either the gto or tbss pedal before. I have only used the C6 pedal w/ DSE firewall bracket. I believe there is some difference in the pedal plug configurations that can be addressed by altering wire location in the plug. If you are having a harness built, you can let them know what features you want to use (ecm location, sensor wire length, MAF style, etc.) Try a search here or on LS1tech.com. Lot of good info.

The wiring may be different because although both LS2's, the TBSS motor is 58x and the LS2 GTO is 24x. The ECU's look the same but are not. The GTO is e40 the TBSS is e67.
As Scott stated, use the Vette pedal or even the Monte SS pedal will work.

The 06 TBSS motor is 24x I believe. We put one in a buddy's car with a 411 LS1 computer. I think 07 it went to 58x.

Yes, you are correct. He said he has '07, so he can't use the GTO pedal.

New plan, iam going to use an ls2 (car) intake that my grandpa has, can I use the dbw tb or should I get the traditional cable driven?

I'd keep the TBSS TB, especially if you are using the ecm/harness from that truck. Pretty sure its direct bolt on. You will have to relocate an idler pulley if using the truck acc. I know KWIK makes a relocation bracket, not sure if anyone else makes one.

I hope the tb fits, it would make my life easier haha, I believe I need to change the water pump for clearance
