View Full Version : Why won't anybody make a Mustang-II spindle with a decent SAI?

As I understand it the original SAI was a compromise for tiny 13" Pinto wheels in the first place.
People don't all agree on the ideal SAI angle, but I'm pretty sure it's something lower than 10-13 degrees. Why can't the aftermarket make a decent (read: forged steel) spindle with the SAI more like 7-8 degrees?

Wow, thanks. I didn't know about that one.
The 10-13* spindles seem to dominate the aftermarket scene.

So say you had an older MII kit, to use that, you'd need:
- longer control arms
- greater offset wheels
- inner tie rod can stay in same position on the rack, but has to reach further out.
Anything I am missing?
This would keep both front wheels flatter in turns. Mostly noticeable on lower speed, higher angle situations.
