I'll try this again as more transit this section and sponsors may know who/where to get the fitting I need.

I am trying to make a rubber pressure line for an 89 Camaro TPI fuel system and GM used power steering fittings. I need a fitting for a 3/8"ID hose with 16 x 1.5mm female thread. I've been scouring the internet for the fitting but have only gotten close. So, Pro-Tourers, sponsors, etc, hopefully you guys can help me out.

No, I dont want to use AN.

What kind of seat do you need on this fitting? Are you going into the stock hardlines that come off of the rails?

Are you trying to make a PS line or a fuel line? If you are trying to make a PS line, be sure to use the proper line- high pressure one only, the one that connects to the reservoir can be a lower psi capacity. (PS pressures can be greater than 1500 psi). If you happen to have a Parker Hydraulic store near you, they should have the lines and crimp them for you. One thing to keep in mind, when you go to Parker and other stores, the PS hose they sell you is very stiff and does not bend too easily. By the time you spend the time and money going there, you might be better off in buying something like this- http://www.detroitspeed.com/Steering/091101-steering-hose-kits.html

Just curious, why not use AN stuff?

Rubber fuel line that goes from the tank hard line to the filter hard line (7" piece).
GM used the saginaw style fittings. The power steering box uses the same exact fittings, just larger.

As silly as it may sound, I want oem details. Saginaw (power steering)

This might help you since you are trying to make fuel lines- Dorman 800-170, Amazon has it via Prime for $4.72 shipped. It is a 4 inch steel line with the 16mm male fitting. I thought those filters needed the male fitting. Your filter is like this one correct? http://www.bennettauto.com/store/fuel-filter-627765?filter_name=1989%7CCHEVROLET%7CCAMARO%20IRO C-Z&engines=4653%20V8-350ci%205.7L%20F%2FI&source=1&search_vehicle=true&gclid=CN_thpaAjscCFcwXHwodyXkNOA#

I got all my hard line from right stuff detailing. There is hard line that comes off the tank. It then goes to a rubber line which connects to another hardline which connects to a filter and then the main line.

fitting im looking for is going to look something like:

88-92 chevy trucks used those same fittings back at the fuel tank. You can carefulley remove the crimp and then remove the fitting. Then all you have to find is the crimp sleeve. Most large parts stores have sleeves ect, they just cannot think out side the box. Also do not say it is a fuel line or they get all uptite.

And then what, exactly, are you trying to hookup to?

I ran into a similar situations when adding a hydroboost. Some of the stuff was pre-1980's GM, then some of the stuff was the newer Metric fittings.

I didn't want the AN fittings. Custom hydro lines are ugly and more expensive than I thought.

I ended up finding some lines that worked and cut off the 3/8 hard line and paid a local welder to tig the correct fittings together.

there has to be someone that makes these things if shops can make pressure lines with crimped fittings.
