I bought some fitting for AN for my DSE frame and DSE rack of course. The instruction manual says these 5/8" and 9/16" fittings and so does the catalog, but It actually needs metric fittings and I don't see this in the catalog. Am I missing something?

Out of curiosity, how did you determine that they are metric?

I recommend you just buy the AN adaptor fittings from DSE and be done with it. Much easier and no chance of error. This is not something you want to mess up.
Did you purchase o-ring fittings?

Yes, I believe the threads in the rack are metric. Why didn't you get the fittings from DSE?

They are SAE thread, 5/8" and 9/16", both with 18 threads per inch.
Here is the an excerpt from the instructions that come with a 2nd gen subframe and can be found here (http://www.detroitspeed.com/images/instructions/70-81%20F-Body%20Subframe.pdf)
Pressure (high): 9/16” - 18
Return (low): 5/8" - 18
Fittings to adapt to -6 AN and complete hose kits are available from DSE
DSE does sell metric adapters for other Mustang II applications, but technically they would be for fox body rack, which has been the standard rack for all Mustang II suspension swaps for quite a while now.

My bad. I just get them from DSE. Easier that way.

Make sure you install the back one first. Crows foot helps get it on since its tight in there

Ok....So i just lost the common sense award. I did get the fittings from DSE however what happened is I pulled the shipping plugs out of the rack which are hard plastic fittings. I tried to install the pressure side and I got a nub of a turn and it stopped. Tried a couple times and no go. I looked at the top of the plastic shipping plugs and one says "M14 x 1.5" and the other says "M16". Reasonably believe metric fittings. Well today, I tried again because everyone was like dude they are SAE! Well this time they went in. Looks like I had just a small thread that was buggerd up keeping it from going in.
All good now, sorry for the fire here....
Thanks for the quick responses!

the top of my plug broke somehow and i was trying to screw my fitting in. Here the screw part of the plug was still in there. I thought it was a washer. Common sense kicked in and i was able to remove it and install my fittings.
Are you running hydroboost or anything?
