Thanks to the guys at work, I'm venturing into the Autocross Arena. But like I always have been, I do what they say can't be done. My car of choice is a 1976 Chevrolet Laguna S3, I've always loved these cars. In my normal way of doing things, I'm bucking the odds, and being totally opposite of the norm. She's getting a Big Block, Tremec TKO-600, 9" Ford w/Wide 5 Stock Car, Spindles, Hubs, and Big, Wide, Wheels and Tires all the way around. No special mega buck suspension tricks, just stock style suspension Front and Rear, and a stock frame. The engineers for the Race Team at work think I've lost my mind, but they are intrigued as well. So I think they can't wait to see the results. The nice thing about the Gen 3 A Bodies, is they shared the same Front Control Arms, as a Gen 2 Camaro. So, I'm reading up, and learning a lot about the way they are set up.

I like it! I have always like the colonnade a-bodies, there is one in town I have thought about but never looked much deeper into. It's a 73 Grand Am, 400 4 speed and he's had it for sale for a very long time.

That car would be an awesome one to have.

Nice project! A buddy of mine in high school had an emerald green 3rd gen Laguna with a big block. That car really grew on me.

I'm envious of the fact that you should be able to fit some huge wheels and tires on there without a lot of work. I can't wait to see all your updates!

Yeah, there's a lot of room in those wheelwells. The wheels on it now are 15x8's with a 2" backspace. I'm sizing up some 15x12 with 4"-5" backspace for the front, and 15x14 with a 5" backspace for the rear.

Nice! I love the plans for this and that two-row grille is so perfectly mid-'70s.

Yes it would but there's no room in the stable. I have my Maverick project and we just bought at 67 Firebird for the wife. Someone needs to give it a loving home.

Hell Yeah!!!

This was my 1st car. It is still sitting in family poll barn since 1990 waiting for what you are planning.

Any idea where you can get sheet metal for these?

Definitely Subscribed!

Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of sheetmetal for these. Sherman Products seem to have the most available.

Nobody makes wheelhouse panels for them. I needed them bad, so I found some Trailer Fenders that I'm using for mine, they're actually a little thicker and make a nice smooth Mini-Tub. Oh Darn, I just hate it when I have to make room for Fatter Tires. I got 4 of these and split them down the middle, and rewelded them. It leaves a nice rolled edge, and being 16 Gauge, it gives the trunk hinge supports a firm foundation.

Hey. I have one of those. I am working on getting 335/35/17's under the rear wheel wells. I have been collecting on parts for mine. Just got the interior finished. I am waiting to sell my 4 wheeler so I can buy my T-56 Magnum trans to fit up to my LS7.

Any updates on the info you've found on the suspension on gen 2 Camaros as it relates to the LagunaS3?
