I have a 69 camaro. When we did all the metal work we also did a smooth firewall. My question is how do I go about figuring out where to drill the hole in the firewall. I'm installing a flaming river column. Any help appreciated thanks

Bolting it to the dash or holding it up should give you an idea.. Or use a shorter 2" pipe to do that..?

What I did was I bought a short 2" piece of 3 ft pvc pipe from the orange hardware store and zip tied that to the steering column mount. Then bolted that to the dash. Mark around the area were the pipe touches to give you the general area of were to drill. Get the 2" hole saw and trace the back of it into the area marked and cut it out. I've used this method on my car and a few of my other cars.
