Ridetech front suspension / BMR Torque Arm rear question

Hello, I'm new to the site and new to 1st Gen F-body. I was hoping to draw on the expertise of the site to on my planned suspension upgrades to my 1968 Camaro.

Front end components:

Full RideTech: 2" drop Spindles, Upper & lower control arms, Single adjustable coil overs, Tru turn steering system, Front muscle bar


Rear end components:

BMR Torque Arm Suspension Kit, BMR Subframe Connectors, BMR Modular Transmission Conversion Kit, (RideTech Rear single adjustable coil overs???)


My question on the rear BMR Torque arm is which RideTech coil should I use on the rear??? Will the one for the RideTech Air Bar also work on the BMR Torque Arm?

Paul, Thanks for your Interest in our Torque Arm Kit. When I sell a Torque Arm, I sell Viking Coilovers. The Ones I sell are Double Adjustable, 3.82 Stroke, Have a Bearing on both ends with one bearing a Wide Bearing. The Springs are 9" long, 225lb Rate and have a 2.5" ID

Viking lists 3 different shock lengths for a 3.82 stroke with compressed heights ranging from 10.04 to 11.10. Since BMR is specifying a 9" spring I will assume they are using the shortest unit listed that compresses at 10.04 and extends at 13.86.
The RideTech coilover that compresses at near that range [10.125"] has 4.1" of stroke and extends at 14.225". It uses a 10" spring. I would concur with the 225# spring...it is certainly within a range that we would recommend depending on the exact weight of the rear of the car. We can accommodate a variety of mount widths ranging from 1" to 1.5" and beyond by using our [supplied] bearing spacers. You may consider setting you car up at your intended ride height before making your final shock length selection. If you find you can use a slightly longer rear shock [11.225 x 16.425"] we can get you into the 5.2 stroke unit with a 12" spring. Longer is always better ride quality.
