LS3 Cam

Guys,

I have an LS3 for my 67 Camaro project. I have mid-length headers, CAI, 2.5" dual magnaflow exhaust. I have a 6L80 trans, yank 2800 stall and 3.91's in the rear. I also have a Nitrous Outlet LS3 setup if I want a little extra bump.. My goal is for good all around driving performance with the occasional autocross or drag.

I have a buddy with a 227/239 .612/.612 112 + 3 Cam that he will give me for next to nothing..

I'm wondering what the driving and performance characteristics might be.

Any thoughts?

I am not sure about that being a nitrous cam but I have LS3 in my Chevelle with a 227/237 613/622, 114 centers and it drives good but my car is a manual trans. It does buck a little at low RPM. The car made 517HP/497TQ at the wheels on a Mustang Dyno. Its a stock engine other than long tube headers

Those are some good numbers.. I would only run a 100 or 150 shot so I don't think the cam needs to be Nitrous specific..
