In the beginning stages of my 66 mustang coupe build. I'm going Mustang II front end and probably 4-link rear. Wanting to know who has the best kits out there of my car? Oh I'm also wanting to run air ride on this setup.

I did a mustang ii front end on my 65 and wouldn't recommend it. I went with a company called Full Tilt. They're basically all the same.

If I could do it all over again I would go with the Detroit Speed Aluma frame, its pricey tho. It wasn't out when I did my mustang either.

Yeah I've been looking at Detroit speed, the roadster shop and couple others.

Why would you not recommend it? Or you just mean you wouldn't recommend your brand?

The Mustang II front end is not really a great system in terms of performance. Works fine for driving around. I retained my shock towers and went with a complete coil over front system from Total Control Products and the VariShock double adjustable shocks.

You have to decide how much of the front clip you want to cut off. You were asking about a LS swap in another thread, and it can be done with the shock towers in place. As I said in my other response, check out my Cougar build, it has 600 pictures of everything that I did.

I also use the TCP Bolt On Coil Overs on the Front of my Mach1. I opted for the Rod and Custom Rear 4 Link setup... It was just a Budget thing for me. I looked at TCP's and Ride Tech also, but R&C had the most Bang for my Buck at the time.

I'm looking for more room in the engine bay in case I want to turbo it later. And I'm not looking to race the car or anything. It's going to be a cruiser

You can go with a Mii clip, I did. Also I didn't know what options were available when I purchased mine.

But as others have said, it rides good for the street, better than stock. Gives you all the room in the world for any engine combo, forced induction.

If you want to race or track the car, tcp coilovers or a Meir (spelling?) street or track front end will handle like it's on rails. Tighter when I comes to putting a larger engine and you will need some fancy fab work for piping.

As for rear ends most companies that offer 4-links are very similar and really, 4-links have been built to death so most of the science and testing has been done a 100 times over. Go with a company that you feel comfortable with.

I went with Rod & Customs and the crew there was honest and easy going. Lots of technical help with the installation.

Set out a plan for the car, and build it to suit.

Rod and Custom also has the MII Front type suspension as well and offer some sort of Package deal when you order Front and Rear from them. They are Great guys to deal with,, very helpful. Heck I called them up a few weeks ago about a Squeak and they sent me New Poly Bushings - No Charge....

It had nothing to do with the brand, everything was great quality from Full Tilt. At the time I built the car it was a better and more affordable option to get rack and pinion steering and a 5 lug conversion.

It rides great but I'm looking more on the performance side now and the set up I have probably won't cut it.

Bret.... I am Defiantly using your products on my car. Looking for the best setup right now.
Does your 4 link rear allow for the mini tubs? Also going with a mustang II style front suspension. I know you guys do not offer one directly, but which company do you work with closely that works the best with your products?
