Anyone know where you can get a gear box rebuild kit with the ball bearings included ?? Or simply a place to buy some?? I seem to have lost a couple while rebuilding my gear box. :( It's a basic late 60's early 70's 2 1/2 turn lock to lock model.

My local hardware store sells ball bearings. Might be worth a try to grab your dial caliper and see what they have.

If its for the firebird you know a Grand Cherokee box pretty much drops in heck after checking I saw steering box for my 66 Caprice is same as fbody and seems many care using same box.

Tom lee,lee mfg. Sun valley ca. He Should have them.
Also the balls have two different sizes, and they go,small, big, small etc. When you put them back in,they go that way so they dont bind.
Thats from what i remember what tom explained to me when i rebuilt mine...has been 5yrs so call him to explain it to you,and while you have him on the line ask him how to mod the poppet valve in your p/s pump,if your are running a p type pump.
Hes a great guy who is always willing to help the diy guy,his health sounds to be going down the last time i called him.
