Hello all, I just recently joined after drooling over everyone's build threads and thought I might as well get on here and make use of everyone's insight. I have a 1966 mustang that I purchased junior year of high school and decided to restore, it wasn't until last year that I decided I wanted to race this classic and chop her up. Almost all the work was done by me and I've been learning along the way. It was built out of my life saving and i got as far as i could before funds ran out. I have big plans for it in the future and hope to own this for a long time and create something truly unique. When i first got it the engine hadn't been started in 20 years and i got it running in the first week, the motor is pristine and i'm sticking with the 289 until it is actually driving. I'm going to cut the story short and list everything done so far, I'm welcome to opinions, insults, compliments, ideas, and help. i'm building it the way I like but like to hear what everyone has to say. Thanks!
-289
-World class t5
-ridler wheels
-wilwood front disk brakes
-maier racing subframe connectors
-new upholstery by me
-shelby front apron
-2" flared fenders
-all the restoration work as well including body work, rust, replacing everything almost.

Cool welcome to the forum!
There's plenty of really interesting builds going on here and plenty to learn as well.

Btw I see you're also an engr student, what are you studying? I'm in my Jr. year of ChE and it's nearly impossible to find the time to do anything on my car during the school year haha

I'm studying mechanical engineering going into my junior year, yeah my car got put on hold for 4 semesters because time/money. Finally in a good position now that I can get some work done and not kill my studies/ work time.
