So on my maiden drive today (and I got my plates!!), so I can drive it.. (reminder to those in CA, put the car in non OPP, I had to pay $1000 for 3 years of registration, even though the car never left the garage, BAHH!!)..

So on my maiden voyage the throttle pedal moved off the throttle rod and I had well very limited throttle (oh **** moment). So I was wondering if there is a good 3 piece pedal assembly that would make more sense to swap to (without a ton of modifications), or am I better off just doing something like the Lokar Throttle pedal?

Obviously for right now I just need a throttle pedal that will be there when I need it (always), but the future I would like to have my pedals more aligned and wondered if I could get rid of the floor mount throttle or not.

Just looking for some ideas. And ya I'll be doing a motor/6spd at some point , so maybe then would be the right time to consider swapping out all my pedals since the 4spd one with the solid rod is not going to work.

Thanks

I've been doing more reading as I tend to post the question and then go off looking for an answer (kind of bassackwards eh)..

So it appears I can do a 6cylinder Camaro pedal (or something from a 66-67 GTO), and then grab a lokar cable setup and it bolts to the stock location etc. I'm going to try this avenue for a quick fix and wait for major reconstruction to change it to something else. Just need something that is not going to flop all over (I think my issue is I have an aftermarket cover, but it is not actually mounted or held to the rod.)..

Prior to my LS swap, I was using a gas pedal from a early Nova I believe when I swapped to a cable setup from the original throttle rod. It worked great, fit in stock location and used a 70 Chevelle throttle cable I believe.

I still have the pedal so I'll hunt it down and get you a pic if needed.

Thanks I bought the 6cylinder pedal and swapped to a throttle cable vs the rod. Pretty slick and makes things nice and clean. Must more responsive throttle now.

Thanks
