hello all! , I am completely new to the forum, i stumbled upon it literally yesterday, and once I began reading some of the info/ projects I just had to sign up and get my feet wet. I currently have a 2005 cts-v that Ive been wanting to the local events, but afraid something might break being my daily driver. What Ive been dying to build is a off the wall tubular frame awd lsx exotic theme car , sounds insane I know. I currently was in the process of doing a midengine 5.3 with c5 t56/diff which is still in my garage but im ditching the midengine/ rwd and going all out on a AWD.

Anyway, I hope that I am welcomed into the community with open arms, Im extremely hungry for knowledge on the whole pro-touring art.

Sounds interesting! Is there any foundation or platform for the build? Hope you're enjoying that V, just keep an eye on that diff bushing (19121910)!

I would look into a way to prevent air bag deployment too.
I saw a wagon V get about 30 degrees sideways at a local SCCA event and all the curtain bags deployed!!!

Good Luck!!

:secret: There's actually a recall on the driveshaft for airbag deployment on some CTS models;
"Some of these vehicles may have a condition in which loss of grease from the center constant velocity (CV) joint over time results in vibrations of the propeller shaft that are transferred to the roll over sensor located on the floor above it. The signal produced by the vibrations in the rollover sensor may result in deployment of the roof rail airbags (RRAB)."
