tire sizes

Guys, Looking for some tire sizes for my car. I have 17x8 on the front and 18x10 for the back. The rims are on order, just looking for some tire sizes. Friend of mine has 305/45/18 Nitto drag radials on his and I really like the sidewall size. It is a 27.8 diameter tire, but I don't really want to run a drag radial. Any thoughts?

You can get a Nitto 555 (non drag radial) or NT05 in a 295/45/18. The sidewall would be pretty comparable, just 3/8" narrower.

Also, a 305/45/18 should be around 28.8" tall not 27.8".

Yes, sorry on the diameter. I had the NT05's on my list, really like the look of them. Think the 295/40/18 (11.85 w and 27.2 dia) sound good to me to maintain the wide look of the tires. What about the front? What is the best size, 2 inches smaller?

I would probably go with a 255/40/17 up front with the 295/40/18 rear.

Any thoughts on nt555's on the front and nt05's on the rear?
