View Full Version : Viking coil-over conversion vs. ?

I'm debating on pulling the pin on a coil-over conversion kit for my 70 Camaro vs. just doing a spring swap to get another inch or so of drop. I like the adjustability of the coil-over and I think if I used the 450lb springs(aluminum headed sbc) I should be able to get my ride height right. The Moog 5610 springs will probably get the trick done cheaper but it just seems to simple. Does anyone have experience with the Viking shocks as far as durability goes? I've seen a number of my drag racing buddies using them now but the cars don't see miles. I just don't want to get in to something like a leaking QA1(every one I ever had leaked) and I like the reasonable price on the Viking as well. Thoughts or advise? Thanks

In the 2 Years I've been at BMR, I've sold a lot of Vikings with Zero problems. Very Good Product!

thanks, I like hearing that and like I said, I've dealt with them on the drag racing side of the house but nothing on a driver car so I wasn't sure which way to go. Going to do some more research and I'm thinking about doing the lower arms as well. I've got PTFB upper arms now and it would probably be a good choice to swap them for the coil-overs as well. Thanks again.

Speedtech has been selling them since day 1, have yet to have a return or problem.

Blake, does viking offer single adjustable fronts or just the doubles? I can see the justification for doubles in the rears for drag racing but not so much for the fronts.

I have a set of Vikings front and rear, they work great and a priced well. No issues to speak of. They only offer double adjustables.
