I'm a newb to the pro-touring board but have owned quite a few different hot rods over the years. Mostly Chevelles but I've had others. I'm currently building a 1966 C10 that belonged to my grandfather. It was an old long bed farm truck but I found a SWB frame and the bed has been shortened. I got bit by the pro-touring bug at an American Street Car event in Nashville last year after a couple rides around the cones with a couple of the participants. I was fortunate enough to meet JB Grainger & Brian Finch a couple of Pro-touring veterans I know y'all know. They have both been helping me get this old truck up & rolling. It started life with a 250 Inline 6 and a 3 on the tree and now is packing an LS3 and a t56. Here are some pics of where the truck started and where it's at now. We are planning to unveil the truck at Holley LS Fest and then the truck is headed to SEMA in THE TMI Booth in preservation hall.

The rolling chassis is just about done. The body was blown apart and taken to media blast about two weeks ago. Cab rust and ding repairs are nearly finished. The body man is delivering the cab to Finch next week so he can get started on the cage.

The tonneau is made by Pro's Pick out of Canada. When the body work is all done and the body goes back on the frame I'll get some detailed pics of the hydraulic Rams that open the tonneau and how it all mounts.

The paint will be a satin pearl white. A custom color I'm calling "For Pete's Sake Pearl".

Getting the cockpit laid out. Brent made a recess for the seats in the panel under the glass. Only adds a little bit of space but looks way cool.

Nice. It is tough to find room in the cockpit with these old trucks.

It is and at 6 foot 5" I need all the space I can get.

Your truck looks great. Stance is excellent. Also like what you did to the sill behind the seats. Nice!

Alright it's way too long since I updated this thread. The truck build has been an incredible challenge and would never have been accomplished if it weren't for a bunch of friends. Mostly the team at Tri-works Hot Rods here in Nashville for carrying Brent & I over the finish line to SEMA. here are some updated pics of the truck as it is now. Still not 100% finished but it's on the road and over the next year or so the finishing touches will be completed as I replenish my bank account.

Who did your seats? I follow some upholstery guys on IG and those look familiar. Gorgeous truck. I might steal the idea for the seat reliefs for my S-10. lol

I see you are running the porterbuilt frame stiffener. What rear trailing arm set up is that? It looks like it may be Ridetech? The truck looks amazing, you hit it out of the park!

Yeah, all suspension is Ridetech. I went with their stage 3 triple adjustable coilovers and muscle bar front and rear as well.

A quick picture or two of my John Bouchard Jr. built 6.0! Haven't done any Dyno pulls to get an accurate accounting of ponies just yet but we should be firmly in the 500 club. Holley's Fuel Injection system works so well. The truck fires up as fast as my Denali.

Do you happen to remember what color grey that you used on the front bumper?
Also is that the same color you used on the wheels and trim?

It's Eastwood meteor grey shot with a matte clear over it.
