2nd Gen (70-81) Camaro/Firebird Seat Brackets

I was wondering what's available for seat adapter brackets for second gen Camaros, or more specifically, my '79 Trans Am. With how popular these cars are for circle track, it seems like there should be some good bolt-in options that don't put your head through the roof. I haven't been able to sort out what's available for which seats.



Even more specifically, is anyone familiar with mounting Cobra brand seats?

There are a couple companies making floor brackets. One is Planted Technology, we use them often. However they do not have a bracket for 75-81 F-bodies because the floor is different.
Wedge Engineering is the other company, haven't used them and not sure if they have the application.

Cobra seats - you'll need to get their sliders, then a bracket like Wedge or Planted.

We've used Planted brackets ($280/pair) and cut off the bottom tabs & reweld to make them work on applications that they didn't list them for, so that's another option.

I have a set of 70-74 Fbody brackets in stock that i'd sell ya for a little less, used for mockup only.
