Hello everybody. I just picked up the car I've wanted since before I could drive, only it doesn't quite mirror the image in my head haha. So I'm gonna be documenting the process to get it there. A little background, I bought a fox mustang years ago as my first project since I couldn't afford a fastback. It went through major changes, including a self fabricated turbo kit and my own tuning. I am 302f150 on corral and theturboforums, that build is here: http://www.theturboforums.com/threads/351343-1992-Mustang-GT-DIY-HX40w-build(DYNO-results-in!!!!!)
I'm recently out of college(again), and finally had some free cash to throw around. I kept an eye out for a while, went to see a car, and a few days later came home with this:

The vin starts with 9T02L, so it was originally an inline 6, it was an auto and from what I can tell it sat from 1991 until now. My goal first is to get it stripped, fix the rust, and do some light suspension work for handling's sake, to get it into cruising condition. It currently has a late model 302 and a t5 which will suffice for now. Long term goal is full suspension for corner carving, and either a Windsor with fuel injection or possibly a coyote build. I have next to no body work experience so I hope I can learn fairly quickly to get this car looking great again. I will probably sub out the paint job because I really want this car looking great.

Goals:
-Acquire fastback Done!
-Get titled Done!
-Strip car
-Replace necessary sheet metal
-Replace mechanical components
-Get Painted
-Drive!
UPDATE: Well, fast forward 2 years... life happens but I'm starting in earnest finally. After tearing into the car more, three of the four subframe rails are rusted through, one has some diamond plate steel welded in place so it's all gotta go. I had hoped to get the car running and driving in some form while I saved up cash, but that didn't happen. I have no desire to restore it back to stock so I'm going tube frame chassis. Hope to update once every couple weeks or so but we shall see how it goes.
I saved up and built a nice 720sq. ft. garage to build the car in. Spent the whole summer working on it and getting wiring done. Got it finished, mounted a window AC unit to fully spoil myself. Build thread for that over on garagejournal: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=362727
