Should I stick with Koni classics or Hotckis?

Those are nothing special, just your average pep-boys replacement shocks. The hotchkis spec Bilsteins are very good, if you want the real good stuff step up to single adjustable QA1's.

My front end is fully rebuilt with the exception for shocks... so too late to do the coil over. How are the Koni Classics that DSE sells? Currently I'm planning on the revalved Steins (Hotchkis)

No experience with the DSE shocks, but you know you can get QA1's in smooth body and run them with regular coil springs right? They aren't all setup as coilovers ;)

Some OEM's still use Gabriel shocks. The are good shocks. Nothing spectacular though. The QA1's are good shocks too, but too expensive for what they are. The single adjustables are better suited to drag racing, in my opinion. The DSE shocks are good. Koni's have been great for a long time. If you have the Hotchkis springs, get the shocks straight from Hotchkis. They are tuned for the springs you are running. They'd be your best bet.

I run the Bilsteins from Hotchkis as well as their springs. Nice setup. feels tight, stays flat, doesn't bounce TOO muchon bumpy/uneven roads.

Yes I have Hotchkis springs, I'll stick with going with the Hotckis shocks.

Now I have a installation question... on the 1st gen Camaro's, you can install the coil springs and tighten the spindle in place before installing the shocks right? What torque do the nuts need to be tightened to when installing the spindles? (upper and lower ball joint nuts).
