I recently worked with a 6P 14" brake kit for a C5 spindle on a 69 Camaro. Has anyone ever come across an issue centering the caliper on the rotor due to the lack of an ABS sensor bracket between the hub and the knuckle?

Hey Peter - Did a little digging and came up with this thread:

https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/92569-Wilwood-Caliper-Alignment

It's not directly a Baer Brake discussion, rather Wilwood, however it seems to cover the issue you are inquiring about.

Looks like guys are re-using the ABS bracket alone on their non-ABS Hub/C5/6 Spindle setups.

Hope this helps.

See you soon.

That was the issue, we milled .075" off the bracket to fix the problem. Baer tech acted like they never heard of this. They must sell many kits to customers with c5/6 spindles on older cars with the ABS bracket/spacer. So far 2 of their kits came with the wrong length brake hoses too. I guess I'm the only one....

There's another thread on here about it, although I can't recall where it was.

Another issue without the bracket was the rotor scraped the LCA ever so slightly. Easy fix for me once the ABS bracket was installed.
