2nd gen Camaro front track

Is it just me or does the front track seem way to wide on my car?

I put the Year One 5 Spoke wheels on the car. 8 inch on the front. I chopped a coil out of the front. I had to remove the inner fenders to get the wheels to clear, then had issues going over bumps. The front wheels are pretty much inline with the wheel well opening. Other then put some Camber into the front, is there anything else that I can do?

Got any other pics? It's hard to get a good perspective with a head on view. Something showing the tire in relation to the lip of the wheelwell would be good.

most std wheels put the tire very close to the edge of the wheel opening. Generally, they hit the bump stops just before the tire hits the fender lip. Did you remove your bump stops?
A side view or 3/4 view would help.

I didn't remove the bump stops, but will have to check if they are missing. The front suspension is still original.
