I have a 69 Camaro convertible that I would like some advise with. I would like to use 18x8 on the front and 18x10 on the rear. I have new tubular upper and lower control arms using the QA1's. The rear is a standard 12 bolt posi. I plan on purchasing hotchkis lowering springs but not sure between 1.5, 2.5, or 3's. The QA1's can drop the front 2". Suggestions? I plan on purchasing Rushforths superspokes. I'm not sure on a tire size only that I don't want a super thin tire. I would like to go with the BFG Rivals. Any suggestions on a tire size that would give me a wide stance and not a super thin tire and absolutely no rubbing. I would rather not do any modifications to the fender. I could go with 18x9's or 18x9.5's. Any pics with the similar setups would be appreciated please included drop info as well as tire sizes. New to the site! Thanks All.

My setup is very near what you're looking for. I have Hotchkis 2" drop springs up front and their 3" drop leafs in the rear. Because of the pontiac engine I opted for their BB springs in the front. THe Poncho is between a small block and big block in weight, so their 2" drop springs may sit slightly lower depending on your engine combination. If you're going with QA1's you can obviously dial height and spring rate accordingly.

For wheel width I am running a 17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear with 245/45 and 275/40 rubber. On my bird I needed to remove the tail-pipe brackets to get rub free operation. I have about half to 3/4's of an inch inboard of the fender lip and about and inch to the inner wells (non mini-tubbed). For the most part I do not have rub with this setup, however over deep undulations in parking lots or very heavy cornering I do get a slight amount of contact. If you want to go wider I'd recommend a mini-tub. If you want absolutely zero rub, you can probably do it with a 9" wheel and 255 section width rubber.

I went with BFG Sport Comp II's for my application.
