hello again, I first posted a while back about this swap I'm doing and ran into some problems.anyway I got rid of rack and got a 87 iroc box and got tubular uppers and lowers,i bought the holley/hooker swap every thing, motor mounts.oil pan 302-2,headers trans mount.this has the 12618 motor mounts that put the motor around 11/2 inches away from firewall(so they claim) I went to put the motor in today and motor is almost against fire wall and the mounts that bolt to the block are about an inch forward of the clam shell mounts.anybody have problems with this set up holley says no,and I find that hard to believe,seeing they they never had a problem bolting the clamshell motor mounts to the plates they give you with a hole a 1/4 off
