DSE frame questions

Hey, not sure where to post this, but my DSE frame doesn't have existing holes for the hardline to flexible hose bracket for the front brakes. Does anyone have ideas from past builds on the best place to put these and a good route for the hard lines. I was Also wondering how to go about an engine to frame ground wire. I really want to make sure I do the right and look right. Looking for some inputs

When I installed my DSE subframe, I purchased a complete new SS brake line kit from http://www.inlinetube.com/ which comes with pre-bent hard line. This kit comes with clips and brackets that allow you to mount the lines. I placed the front crossover line along the back side of the subframe's rear crossmember with each end going up and over the frame rails. I then drilled and mounted a couple of clips to hold the crossover line secure where they seemed to want to fit naturally. Once the hard line was positioned the line ends dictated where I had to weld on the tabs to the outside frame rails where the hard line terminates at the wheel flex line connection. Don't over think this it is not rocket science. Just position the line so the ends are in the same location side to side to make the flex line connection and looks neat and secure. The line basically fits on the DSE subframe the same way it fits the stock sub.

I thought about inline but their shipping cost is just stupid high and they even bend them to fit in a box. Dealt with that PIA with fuel lines. I only need the front lines too.

Where is your engine ground?

I have a braided ground strap bolted to the rear of the driver side cylinder head and run to the firewall. Then another braided strap from the frame to the body near the front driver side chassis mount. I have a third braided strap from the block motor mount bolt to a frame mount bolt. Plus, I'm also running solid aluminum chassis mounts.

Just a note, the aluminum mounts don't count for ground points if they are anodized. It sounds like you have plenty of ground anyways.

If your subframe is already powdercoated, you can get brake line tabs and fasten them with button head screws. This eliminates the grinding and welding your pretty subframe.
