I absolutely loved the Oct. issue of PHR and really dig the "build something different" mantra. While my favorite car out of the 9 Horton rendered in the Oct. issue was the 73 Laguna, I like them all. With that said, I spotted a 1981 Chrysler Imperial parked in the corner of a used car lot/gas station/garage/U-Haul rental center. The car does not run, but the body and interior were in super-straight rust-free condition. I haven't stopped thinking of this car yet. I want to bite the bullet and buy the car, but I don't have a clue about Mopars. Any build ideas guys? I'm thinking Air Ride, 19's, 440, triple-black. What kind of dough outlay is required for a decent, buildable 440? I'm adding a pic of Kris's rendering that appeared in the Oct. issue for inspiration....

Yea.. this car screems air-ride and 19's.. more of a pro-cruiser.. for a motor a new-school hemi would be way cool with an auto trans. Oh, and a big stereo.. :)

LOL, how many people from this Camaro first gen board are going to respond to a thread like this anyway? :lmao:

Seriously, as you know, I like different too. I am thinking new gen hemi, air bags......
The only real word of caution would be, resale. Be careful not to sink to much in it because IMO these are not mainstream enough or old enough to draw many buyers if you decide to sell. Same thing with my 80 malibu, I think those cars will be hot soon, but may be a bit ahead of the curve right now.
Procruiser, ah, I like that name.......

the new 6.1L hemi would be incredible in there...dunno about jamming it in there though.

I agree though, black on black with black wheels, maybe something really spokey.
