That car is nuts. The wheels are horible but everything else is perfect. I would love to have that setup in my car, then I would have to do the Silver State Classic.

Awesome drivetrain but I can think of a few cars it would be much better served in.
And yeah those wheels are horrible.

meh i'd run a regular ole' 346 ls1 or ls6 in it, you can make more HP with that than you would know what to do with.
BTW killer writeup on your car in PHR.

Oh I agree the twins are the way to go, I was refering to the LS2. Too much $$ for what they are right now.

$3800 for a 402 cid ls2 , short block . sounds cheap to me . throw on some afr's , intake, tb and lets rock . for about 8g's i like it

500-525rwhp N/A for $8k if you play your cards right. LS2 shortblocks are a great deal right now.

· GM LQ9 iron 6.0 liter block (includes block plugs)
· 4.000" Eagle 4340 forged steel crankshaft, balanced to rotating assembly
· 4.000" Ross 2618 forged alloy pistons with -28.50cc dish (includes new rings and full-float pins)
· 402-CID displacement
· Eagle 6.125" H-beam rods
· Includes new, factory-installed cam bearings; Clevite rod and main bearings
· 9:1 compression ratio (nominal; ultimate compression ratio will depend upon heads and gaskets used)

I'm considering doing the LS2 in my 69, But I think mine is going to stay N/A.. I'm gonig to send out my AFR heads and have them ported, and pick a nice street friendly cam.. Hope to around 500 rwhp when done this winter.
