For those who do not know the name Suzy Bauter, you might recognize a picture of the Camaro she co-drives with Rodney Prouty. Suzy supported Rodney and his passion for the hobby, but eventually got tired of sitting on the sidelines. This is when Suzy decided it was time to get involved in autocross. Since making that decision, Suzy has raced at several events including Goodguys, So Cal Challenge and Optima’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car; just to name a few.

Many might not know that Suzy has her own car she's been trying to restore over the past couple years. There’s a complete build thread on the Pro-Touring.com website she started back in 2012 all about her 1963 Rambler named “Sugar.” Unfortunately, one vehicle took precedence over the other and the Rambler took a backseat to the Camaro. Suzy hopes to have the Rambler up and running sometime next year. A car that converts from a mobile photography station to a autocross/ track beast would be pretty awesome.

Suzy is bringing a tremendous amount of experience as she begins her journey bringing you live coverage and event recaps from the South and the East Coast. She left friends and family in California a little over a year ago to support Rodney in a career change. Leaving everything behind, Suzy chose to submerge herself in the automotive community, expanding her “pro-touring family” and growing several skills including her passion for photography and writing. Suzy comes from an extensive business background including twenty years of public relations and executive communications. A few years back she also started contributing to sites such as Bangshift and formed her own Facebook groups California Autocross and Autocross Nation. Suzy currently works with a handful of motorsports companies and race teams, helping them with PR and social media.

Events that you will likely see Suzy at will include Cruisin' the Smokies, Holley’s LS Fest, and several of the Goodguys South and East coast events.
