Looking at buying a 1972 Camaro SS here with a BBC swapped in and have a few questions after doing some homework. I've always loved the pro touring look/functionality that comes with building these style of cars and plan to do it myself. This car is probably rarely going see any track time if I end up buying it, but it will however see plenty of street time and some good runs down our curvy TN roads. Big fan of things that handle well so i'm already planning on doing the C5 brake upgrade, subframe connectors, swaybars and some sort of suspension asap.

What kit would you go with? Looked at the protouringfbody, Detroit speed, ridetech etc. I do plan on coilovers from the get go but not sure i can swing getting a 4link kit. The ridetech kit seems to be priced really well

Which swaybar set-up would you use?

I'll fix what I was saying, since this will be a multi step build I'd rather not do a 4-link or C/O's until I throw a narrowed 9in underneath which is years down the road. I just want to get this thing on the ground and make it a blast to drive. Looking at the 3in Drop spring kit from Detroit Speed right now and Running their front arms as well.

I just finished ridetech coilovers and control arms and it was super easy. Just a few hours and done. Taking it to get aligned tomorrow. I have hotchkis springs at the rear with 1.5 drop. I'm looking into a lowering block maybe 1/2" to 1" as I don't want it too low bc my back tire is pretty wide.

If u go with the DSE I wouldn't do the 3" drop. Could be too low and u can't move back up. U can always go with 1.5" and add a block to lower if see fit.

I have a full Hotchkis suspension for my mostly street car and I love it. All the parts work great together.

Just drove my dse equipped 79 yesterday and I really like it. Hope to get out and track test it soon.
