Hello folks,

My wife and I are planning a 3 week road trip in June in our 69 chevelle (if it gets back from the body shop in time after hitting a deer LOL). The plan is to drive from home (Calgary Alberta) to Seattle and then proceed down the PCH through Washington and Oregon. We have spent some time in Portland before and really enjoyed it and plan on being there for a couple days. I guess I'm looking for any tips or hints on must-see places, roads, restaurants etc. Anything that you've done/seen that you would do again. The plan is to keep going past LA then over by the grand canyon and up through Colorado to visit a buddy in the Denver area and home through Wyoming. We've been all through Moab, Colorado and Idaho in the past and have all that covered. Ideally we want to hit the Golden CO super cruise if we can time it right.

This is a bigger deal for us than normal because I broke my back 3 years ago and am now in a wheelchair. This loop is almost exactly 4000 miles so it will be an adventure trying to find accessible places to stay and go etc all that time. I also have to swap the dying 4l60 out for the new built 4l80 sitting on my garage floor when I get the car back from the shop, It will be a long shakedown cruise LOL. Since I have done a ton of work on the car this winter it would be great to find somewhere I could rent a lift for a few hours to do a quick nut/bolt check somewhere along the way as well if anyone has a suggestion for a shop rental option.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

When will you be coming through Denver? The SuperCruise is the first Saturday of the month. If you'll be here before the 26th, and it's operational by then, you're welcome to stop by and use my lift. I'm in Littleton.
