Hey!

I have got a 70 Torino that I'm looking to do the best pro touring style build I can.
Its a project and as of right now its completely stripped and coated in epoxy.

I figure right now is the perfect time to make body modifications.

What im looking for is maybe links to another thread or somewhere on line that maybe has some good walk through on the modifications.

1) drip rail delete -I believe I got this one down.
2) extending the bottom rocker with an exhaust cut out, possibly extending the front of fender and rear of quarter panel so it matches the lowered rocker.
3) Fabricating a front chin spoiler, also with details on those metal rods that are used to keep the front spoiler stable or in place, also used on deck lid spoilers.
4)deck lid spoiler.

5) Widening fenders and quarter panel. I like the look of that widened fenders and quarters for the fitement of wider wheels and tires. Like the blu balz camaro, (one I can think of, off the top of my head).

I have somewhat ideas as to how some of these are done, but maybe someones build thread or a link would be of much help.

thanks!

Several drip rail delete threads out there. Yours may vary some , but for the most part, cutting a few inches, tack welding, then cutting a few more inches is the preferred method. Front pillar area of many GM's need filling in, not sure about yours.
Here's an old thread when I made extended rockers. I was widening out the whole body here, so it will vary from what you may do. Not all details covered either. Still food for thought though.

Yea I kinda figured that was the way to do the drip rail delete. Thanks for the link!

If anyone else has any input that would be apprectiated!

You mentioned a decklid spoiler. What about a Nascar inspired spoiler? This is one I fabricated from a real spoiler off of an old ARCA car.

Pretty cool builds here. All their pictures are gone or at least I can't see them. https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/46489-TwinTorino
