I am working on mounting on installing TQ rear coilovers on my 69 Camaro, and I知 not sure where to mount the reservoirs. I have seen some pictures of the reservoirs mounted in the trunk, but I知 not sure I want to go that route. I was wondering if anyone else has had any good ideas on where to mount them. Pictures would be nice.
Where are they mounted on the 48 Hour Camaro?
Thanks in advance.

Hey Ryan,
I only have a full solution for cars with roll bars. It is two parts. We make canister clamp specifically for the Ridetech canisters (which are a unique size) to clamp to 1-3/4" roll bar tubing. If you don't have roll bar tubes in the rear, these won't be of any help to you. In that case, I know a lot of guys use the clamps that came with the Ridetech shocks & bolt the canister to the trunk floor.
The other issue is getting the canister through the floor & sealing the floor back up. We have a great solution from Seals-It. After you make the 2-1/8" to 2-1/4" size hole to get the canister through the trunk floor ... we have a Seals-It 2-piece seal that rivets or screws to the trunk floor & has a small hole for the canister hose. The seal is 4.5" OD. You need the seal with a 1/2" ID hole for the Ridetech shocks.
You can see all the canister clamps & seals here (http://shop.ronsuttonracetechnology.com/shopping/?ic=7942).
Best wishes!

Thanks Ron! I would still like to keep them out of the trunk, but that would help a lot if I could install them cleanly. I may just go that route.

Ryan,
Is there enough room under the rear end hump in the trunk floor to mount them with the Ridetech mounts ... with the bolts coming in from the top?

I'll have to check this weekend but if I do that, I don't think I will be able to get the exhaust over the axle. It's close as it is. Thanks again for the help Ron.

We bolted them between the frame rail and the quater panel on the 48 Hour Camaro, with the knobs pointed down.
I've searched a bit but couldn't find a clear picture.
The are a little close to the exhaust (which comes all the way out the back), but if you are careful and let the car cool down a little before adjusting you don't burn your hand.

Mine is behind the tire, on the outside of the rail.

Thanks guys! I'll get my exhaust done and see how much room I have left outside my frame rail. If not, they are going in the trunk. I appreciate the help!
