Ok its here, who's done them and what kind of budget would one expect?
I know there is a 5.7L hemi crate motor out but i think im going to wait for the 6.1L.
Fords GT crate look promising too...if you can stand the price tag...

I've got feelers out here in the Midwest. The SRT-8 Magnums are just starting to hit the dealerships. The only wrecked one that I have been called on had like 9 miles that has been totaled by rear ending a tractor trailer. Needless to say I passed on that one.

I plan on putting 6.1 with a TKO 5 speed in my wifes 'Cuda. I talked to Painless on the Power Tour in June, they should have the stand alone harness ready soon. The 5.7 system is real nice and makes the install really easy.

Painless, thats good to hear, I passed on alot of used 5.7 in fear of buying one with the MDS set up. Gladly the 6.1L doesn't offer that feature. That engine should be plentifull in the future due to the release of an SRT Charger and Jeep...who the hell needs 420hp in a Jeep? That should be interesting.
The 6.1L is no joke, I drove a 300SRT and it was very impressive. Should do well in our 3000 lbs Cuda's!?
