led gauge lights, dimmer won´t work

Hi. I have 1967 camaro and previous owner have put led`s on all the gauge lights etc and they are super bright. Can´t put them on in night time because they too bright. Dimmer doesn´t work, it only switches them on or off. Is the dimmer busted or are the leds making it work that way?

It's the led not the dimmer. You can order led that are not as bright

Both autometer and dakota digital sell a LED dimmer. I have the DD one with my VHX gauges, They work great!

Either Auto Meter 9114 ($34 on Amazon prime) or Dakota Digital Light Dimming Switches DIM-1 ($28.45 through Summit).

thank you for both answers. I´m gonna buy the dimmer so i can but any led´s i wan´t on it.
