Hi everyone!
I was in the process of taking off my water pump on my 327 small block and I had to take off the black ground wire that came from the battery because the ground is on the water pump. So after I put everything back together with the battery's grounded I put it back on the terminal and it started sparking. It usually doesnt do this and it being my first time I just threw on gloves and fit it on the terminal. This may have not been such a good idea.......Although the lights turned on and the motor cranked. And then for some reason I touched the wire that was connected to the alternator and they started smoking.I somewhat quickly unplugged them and the I remebered that I just randomly plugged those wires in and didn't think about it being right or wrong. So I might have blew my alternator or shorted my whole electrical system for all I know cause now the lights wont even turn on. Any ideas?
Thanks!
