Hey everyone. I'm getting all my parts together for my 69 T56 conversion.

My plans for the shifter are to modify the orginal Hurst shifter I had from the 4speed to work with the 6spd shifter. (modify two bolt holes)

I'm having problems finding a shifter knob that has correct label for my 6 speed..

anyone have any links?

Moose,

Speed Inc, a forum sponsor sells a white Hurst 6 speed labeled knob.

If that link doesn't work, simply add Camaro as vehicle, and year 2001. It's under the transmission section.

Also, if you have any problem modifying that shifter, keep in mind Hurst makes a short throw shifter for the T56. I've got one on my SS, along with the leather "H" knob. Pretty nice shifter and comfortable knob. Pro 5.0 is probably the best T56 short throw out there, though.

Ralph that is the same shifter I have. I just want to run the stock looking "arm" that is about 4" longer and has the curve to it. I don't that is 16mm thread though..

I'm guessing time re tap it.

Mike,

Do you need a picture of the actual shifter mechanism with the leather boot removed, or just a picture of the shifter in the car, to see the arm. Let me know and I'll snap a pic.

if you have both great, if not just snap a pic of how it is now..

I'm going to run my car with no console. Just the trim ring and boot if that makes since...

Mike,

I'll snap a pic for you tomorrow of how it sits, and I'm probably going to change trans fluid this weekend, so I'll try to get a picture of the shifter itself then.

If it's useful, I've got a Pro 5.0 in a box I could take a pic of, as well.

Na, I got the bottom shifter, just trying to see how it looks with it in the car.

Thanks though.
