Hi friends! I just put new Global West S-11 front springs in my car. (sorry for the poor angles!)

Before:

After:

Annyways, before I put them in I was dubious about the ride height that would result due to the difference in the spring size:

And, Well..:

I don't know what to do. Doug at Global West suggested I purchase these ones, but I can't really find any information on them. Summit doesn't say anything and they are nowhere on the GW site. :pat:

You could put a coil spring isolator under the spring to raise it some if you want to keep the springs.
I have (2) 3/8" units in mine to raise it some.

I am using adjustable spacers like this: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Adjustable-Extended-Spring-Shim,33328.html?sku=91645552&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=CSEGoogle&utm_campaign=CSEGOOGLE&catargetid=530009170000093974&cadevice=c&gclid=CIe22taOssQCFYc8aQodt50A_A

It allows you to set the height without changing the spring rate.

My springs are 9-1/2" long and need a spacer.

Thank you very much! I didn't even know those were a thing! Makes complete sense now.

Something isn't right here, it's a 2nd gen f- body no reason you shouldn't be able to buy off the shelf lowering springs without needing spacers. If you want the adjustable ride height of spacers that's one thing but there are off the shelf springs that should work.

Have you called Doug at Global? Do you now the rate? I've had some 550 and now some 707 in my TAs and know free length we can ballpark to compare. I put MOOG 5662s in the 81 TA and with Global arms is at what the old factory springs were ride height.

I thought the S-11 spring was for third gen camaros. I read that on a third gen forum. You might check.

If you remove the bump stop does it hit the frame? The reason I ask is if not you could always get a smaller bump stop.
