I'm thinking of ordering a set of Global West tubular upper and lower control arms with their Del-a-lum bushings. Also the QA-1 GMP13 coil over kit. Anyone have any experience or knowledge of this combo for my 67 Bird ???

I would also like to know. I am planning on running DS&E uppers with QA1 coil-overs. I believe the GW and QA1 is the same as Tom Izzo's.

I'm running that combo on my 69 Camaro. It's a great improvement over stock in the handling department. The tendency with the QA1's is to crank the coilovers down too much, slamming the front end of the car. Looks good, rides terribly. My advice is to set the ride height about a half inch above where you want it, and leave it alone. They will settle after a short time, and you will have plenty of spring travel. Also, the shocks are very hard. For a comfortable ride, that won't vibrate the fillings out of your teeth but is still firm, you need only set them at about a 3 (out of 12). I had them initially set at 8, then 6, and they were still too rough. You can quickly set them firmer for track use or "spirited" driving. Great combo overall, and I highly recommend them.

Thanks for the info. I found similar info from other sites. Bit the bullet and ordered the setup. Even though my car is not a g-machine, mainly street/strip/pro street, I wanted a good front suspension. Can't wait to get it on the road.

As a followup to that, would the DSE uppers, coil-over spring/shock setup work with a GW lower?
Thanks for any insight.
