Mix matched tires?

Ok may sound like a dumb question but if I need to go up in aspect ration on my front tires but the manufacturer does not make the right size what are implications on diff brand on the front ? I bought a new set of Hankooks but the front needs to be a little taller. I have a 255 35 18 but want to go to a 255 40 18 and they do not make one only a 245 40 18 I know its not much but I need it. These will be primarily used to auto X so that is my concern with two different tires. Street set is all matching!! Any thoughts?

Obviously not optimal, i doubt it'll effect stabilty to where itd hurt your times
Its not like youre mismatching front left and front right...

Not a problem. We had to do it on our tempest since 335 Rivals weren't available for some time.
