Hi All,
New to the board and pro-touring. I will be starting a build up on my 1970 Mustang this summer. Currently the car has a stock: body (minus the rust), C4, suspension and brakes. A crate 302 was installed a few years ago with GT40 heads, hydraulic rockers/lifters, Holley 670 Street Avenger, and an Edelbrock Intake/ Cam. Unfortunately the car sat for a few years behind a body shop waiting to be worked on to fix some rust spots on the quarters and floorpan. I finally got tired of waiting for the shop to get to my car while it rusted away and have decided to take the project on myself. I want to embrace the pro-touring style with the goal of having a reliable driver that will see the track a few times a year. But street performance will be the first step.
Initial Plan: Get the car running and driving again and strip all non-essential items this spring/summer. Then repair the floorpans, install fuel cell and all new lines, upgrade suspension and disc brakes this fall.
I will update with photos as I get into the car.
Thanks for all the future help.
Zach
