Hey all,

I am having big problems getting these installed in my frame.

I have pulled the first bushing about 2/3 of the way through the frame. Getting them that far was slow & tedious as I pulled them through with 1/2" all thread (that I have broken twice).

I know all thread has very poor strength qualities. We tried to get these things the rest of the way though with a grade 8 bolt and it seems to have hit a spot and just stopped. I dont mean to brag but the frame rails are pristine, so its not a matter of trash.

Any tips from people who have installed these are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shane

I know of a few cases where GW had to machine a set to a slightly smaller dimension. Can you measure the hole diameter and bushing? It shouldn't be that tight a fit as you are experiencing.

Mine are very snug also but not like this.Take a flapper wheel on a 90 die grinder and clean all the surface area then install........See if that helps?

On mine, one side went on pretty easy with 1/4" all thread, for the driver side I had to use 3/4" all thread, was a major pita. I found I had some rust scale in the driver side hole, I would go with the flap wheel idea.
