Welcome to the term "Cylinder Index".....heretofore called "CI"

A man's CI is the total of ALL internal combustion cylinders he owns. Everything counts if YOU own it.....cars, motorcycles, airplanes, lawnmowers, weed wackers, model airplane engines, you name it. Count up the total internal combustion cylinders you own and the total is your CI.

--Sorry to the Mazda guys they don't count of course
--Air compressors don't count--not internal combustion
--It is not required to be running to count
--If it is only stored on your property it doesn't count, you must own it
--If it is stolen you technically don't own it

Have fun

LoL! 63, but 8 are hopefully leaving next week.

Now, does it include engines sitting on the floor as well? If so then bump me up to 95!!! DOOH!!

Edit: forgot a little 70 four wheeler sitting in the corner and the leaf blower, so that stacks me up to 97 personal cylinders!

By my reading of the original rules "sitting on the floor" counts
I even counted an old airplane engine sitting in a box somewhere for years

Who around here......has......"the biggest one" ???

I think I need more cylinders. I only came up with 72 by including the one engine on a stand to go with the ones in the cars.

75 - 24 of them consist of 3 sbc's kicking around my shop. They are all complete however, if you put them in something they would run. The rest can actually fire and run at any time. Doesnt count my wifes car.

My list is personal cylinders. What about cylinders from a business you own?

I'm kinda thinking personal......If it is a customer car in your shop you technically don't own it, you only own the building it is sitting in.

What I meant was.....I know a guy who owns a landscaping business, owns six or seven trucks and all kinds of gas powered equipment. he would blow us all away. I personally dont think that should count. Or if you do count it you should have to note it.
