For everyone thinking of being different:

The Northstar LC3 Production Engine is slated to be ready for sale as a crate on 10/26. You can give your dealer a call then to order - part number 17802896. MSRP is $15,500 - but be sure to check with your dealer as that price is "suggested" and your dealer may offer it for less.

If you have any further questions, let me know.

Why, I don't know. :hmm: Alot of people on this board are modifying SBC to TT. GM goes and builds a better breathing motor designed to handle forced induction down to the oil squirters under the pistons and no one wants it. Oh well I'll remove the power robbing blower and put a pair of turbos on the stock block, run the same 12 psi as the blower was pushing and take 700hp on pump gas any day.

I think he means the price tag. I wonder how much estxa in parts, fittings, electronics, and installation man hours it would cost on top of the price tag to get it into a project?

There are only two things to look out for in swapping the new N* into a classic car, engine management and transmission adaptor. Because of the VVT a N* won't accept to many aftermarket ECUs. And because of the 90 degree architecture, you have to get an adaptor to install a GM tranny. Otherwise, it is no different than any other carb to efi swap.

use a trans from a 60* v-6 s-10/camaro. too bad they aren't very strong, but they do bolt up.
