hi all
i have desided, it will be a PROCHARGER kit with a P-1SC charger.
now my questions.

my engine, a GMPP 330hp crate engine with a compression ratio from 9,6:1

must i lowered the compression for the charger to 8,5 ?

i need a new carb ok, my speed-demon have vacuum secundary´s.
make barry grant carbs for the charger ?

Klaus, you could exchange your head gaskets for some thicker ones to lower your compression. A CSU or similar carb would work best for a blow through setup.

if the engine has aluminum heads and you can get 92 or 93 octane fuel then you can run 6-7 lbs of boost with the procharger and be fine. of course the tuning must be right as well.

no, my engine have vortec iron heads, not aluminium heads.
i think i change the head gaskets for a 8.5:1 compression.
the lowest fuel you can buy here in Luxembourg is the standart with 95 octane.

then yes i would lower the compression. I am not sure though if a change in gaskets will get you lower or not though. that is beyond my knowledge.

Get a thicker head gasket or buy a good intercooler and run no less than 93 octain..

yeep, i will go back to the original head gaskets.
the engine have original 9:1 ratio.
