Wheel adapters, Hub rings, good brands??

Hey how's it going, just bought some xxr wheels for my 64 cuda.

They are 18x9 and I will be needing a 2" adapter (5x4.5-5x4.5).

I was looking at billetwheeladapters, motorsports-tech, wheeladapters.com, ezaccessories.

From personal experience can anyone tell me which one of these brands is the best?

Billetwheeladapters is the cheapest at around 80 for 2. But these are lug centric adapters.

Motorsport tech has a custom pair (hub centric) for 170 pre tax and shipping. They also have hub centric rings for $50 for a pair.


i was a little turned off by ezaccessories. I feel with wheel adapters.com I would be paying more for the name.

So what do I do? Billetwheeladapters and the motor sport tech the hub centric rings??

Or or just get custom made from motorsport tech??

The first two I've used and both are good. Custom ones would be better but still no problems running a separate ring either.

Okay sounds good... Luckily the big 3 car show that goes down in San diego ca, not sure if anywhere else in the US, but it's great!

I picked up 2" adapters (billet aluminum), from a wheel accessory booth. I will need to buy custom hub centric rings from motor sport tech for my wheels and replace the wheel studs on my rotors to ARP and I plan on using red loctite on the adapter to rotor lugs (I have no intention on taking them off the rotor, and no intention of them coming OFF the rotor!) then bolting on wheels as normal.

Now I do have plans on taking it to the good guys car show auto cross and having fun, as well as daily driving the car.

I have never used wheel adapters and I now there are some nay sayers that turn these down ASAP, whether it's due to that they blame the old style designs, or bad installation, or simply just the thought doesn't register well with them.

I would like to know...

Are bolt on wheel adapters safe, no bolt pattern change, not spacers that act as a big washer on the wheel studs. A 2" billet aluminum bolt on adapter, 5x4.5-5x4.5, with intended daily driving use and auto cross use

I used hub centric, wheel centric from www.uswheeladapters.com. Great quality but took a while

I went to the big 3 parts swap meet, I didn't walk out with any wheels I was looking for unfortunatly:(
