Hey all,

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some new wheels for my nearly completed 66' Chevy II PT project.

I'm going with the Raceline "Smuggler" in a 18x7 and 20x10. I think a 4" BS front and 4.25" BS in rear is where I'm at now. The car is running a Mustang II front end and is mini tubbed. I want to run a 275/35/20 in the rear and a 235/35/18 out front. I want as deep of a lip as possible in the rear and decent turning ability out front with a minimal drop. I like to drive low :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are going to have to do this yourself, bud. Every car is built different and there is no way to give you decent numbers without actually measuring the car. This is easy to do if you want to give it a shot. We can walk you through it if you can't find decent instructions with Google.

IMO 18/20 will look donky on a small car like the ChevyII. I think 18's front and rear would look much better.

I agree, and as stated above you will need to take measurements and do the math yourself. Custom offset wheels cost way to much to guess fitment.

Thanks for the input fellas. I hear you on every setup being different. I've got a few sets of 3pc wheels for other cars that I had built but just thought I'd get some input from someone here running a similar set up as myself. I mocked up my dad's 18"/20"s which is where I came up with 4" & 4.25" bs. My buddy is the gm of a discount tire so I'll go see him and let him figure it out. That way if it's not right I've got some insurance.

With that said, now you've all got me second guessing a 20" in the rear. I've goggled pics so much my eyes have crossed and see some I like and some I dont. hmmmmmm

Id personally stick with 18's and just play with wheel/tire width. Try to keep the sidewalls similar also, that staggered 18/20 wheel look is out dated and more of a hot rod thing anyways.

But again this is all based off personal preference, This is your car and your choices!

Ditto on 20" rears being disproportional. If you prefer to stagger rather than 18s all around, you could do a 17/18 combo. As stated above, make sure whatever you choose, that your rear sidewalls will be at least as tall as the front, or it won't look right.

Well, I decided on a 18x8/19x10" combo. Ordered tires yesterday and will mock those up to determine proper BS. I'm going with a 275/35/19 and 225/40/18. Thanks for the input guys
