Hey guys,

Was not sure where else to ask...

I generally don't use ebay for the many horror stories I have heard... but a friend of mine is looking for a 1970 Dodge Challenger, he wants to have a 426ci Hemi in it.

He is not interested in matching numbers anything...

Just wants a 1970 Dodge Challenger,
426ci Hemi
Auto Gearbox

Whether the car has the Hemi in it, or whether it doesnt and we buy a hemi and put it in...

Either way, solid driver, good paint, good interior (restored vehicle) with a 426ci Hemi.... He is budgeting $50,000US

Do you think something can be gotten?

I figured if a very clean 70 challenger can be had for 30,000 or even 35,000, a hemi costs about 15,000 and there is the 50....

Anyone know of anyone, know where to find... or any such thing that might lead us to the right car?

Thank you
George

check forebodesonly.com. Forum for that car. I think you are about right for the price. 50k won't get you a show piece 70 w/ hemi, but you'll have a real nice car. Good luck!

I gave him the link to the white one, he said he had a friend checking one out, that was around 25-30k 70 CHallenger, 383ci, good condition.

By the time you put a Hemi in it, will land in around the 50k.
