LSx dropout vs build up

​i am looking for a LSx set up for my 76 TA project.

LSx t56 dropouts on eBay and Craigslist are getting up there in price.

I am starting to think it may be better to piece so ring together. I don't want to spend countless hours and dollars hunting down all the parts though.

Like to hear everyone's thoughts.

My goal is a mild LS and I want to twin turbo it with a 6sp

Start with a truck block, 5.3 or 6.0 cast iron motor. Cheaper, and it'll take boost just fine.

If you decide you might want to go N/A, I have an aluminum LS1 out of a 2002 Camaro SS with 243 heads cleaned up by TEA, a mild cam, new springs, and comp trunion upgrade, LS7 lifters and new push rods, and a melling oil pump. The entire valve train has about 20 miles of run time on it. The rotating assembly is the original pieces. Im pretty sure it has a spun #1 rod bearing, but everything else is quite solid.
