Which size wheel combo 68 camaro

Hey, I know there is tons of info with similar questions but sometimes those threads start going in different directions and I can find a clear answer. I just purchased the right stuff signature big brake kit front and rear for my 68 all drum camaro. 13" front and 12" rear rotors. Says I need a minimum of 17" wheels. Currently I have AR TOrque thrust II's I pulled the front and rear off yesterday to get the wheel size both are stamped 14X6. My front tires (http://www.walmart.com/cp/1077064?povid=cat121828-env999999-moduleA072012-lLinkGNAV1_AutoTires_Tires)are 235/60-14 the rears are 245/60-14 currently I have no rub issues, I measured the back spacing yesterday and both were 3". I'm in the market for some black mesh wheels or another set of TT II's. Can someone please tell me what size wheel and tires (http://www.walmart.com/cp/1077064?povid=cat121828-env999999-moduleA072012-lLinkGNAV1_AutoTires_Tires) I should get? Backs pacing, width, etc. should I go 18? Or stick with 17? I eventually plan to lower my car 2". I'm not looking for a huge wheel but something that will clear my brakes and that does not have any rub issues. I am trying to stay on a budget so 2K + wheels arnt an option. Thanks for your input!

Backspacing will depend on how wide of a wheel/tire you want to run. The largest "safe" combo tends to be 18x8 w/4.75"bs front and 18x9 w/5.25"bs or 18x9.5 w/5.5"bs in the rear. And 245/45/17 or 245/40/18 front and 275/40/17 or 275/40/18 rear.

If you go with a 7" wide wheel up front, your backspacing can be between 4.25-5.25". The lower the bs, the further out the wheel will sit. Same goes for the rear, if you go with an 18x8 rear your backspacing can be between 4.75 and 5.75". 5.75" would sit deep in the wheel well, and 4.75 would push it out towards the fender.

Lastly, if you drop down to a 225 or 235 up front, or a 255 or 265 in the rear, you have a little more wiggle room on backspacing and lessen your chances of any rubbing.

Have the TRSD brake kit, lowered 2 inches, and running 225 front, 245 rear. With stock height, you could probably pull off 245/275, but when lowered you start running in to rear fender lips and front inner fenders. I know, I bought too big at first and had to downsize. I'm running rocket racing wheels, 18X7 front, 18X8 rear. Check out their website for BS info.
