Members,
in my never ending quest to feed my OCD I was hell bent to figure out a way to locate the alternator over on the pass side low where the AC pump would usually go.
By doing this there should be zero issues hitting the power steering box on our A-Body Chevelle's.
This will also make for a cleaner engine bay by not having everything up high on both heads…...

Through a friend (Kent Bourg) I contacted Murphy Wallace of LSSimple.
This is the guy thats some seriously awesome LS conversion brackets.
The factory AC pump clam shell bracket is used in conjunction with the factory tensioner.

Here she is, this I believe is the final version:

Here are the specifics from the owner of LSSimple, Mr. Murphy Wallace:
Passenger low mount alternator.
You supply the bracket for the factory a/c and alternator.
And LSSimple supplies the rest.
Soon to be released...

$225.00 comes with larger diameter steel pulley
bolts to attach to factory a/c bracket
belt
And bracket
Colors: Red, Silver, or Black.

He is working on a price for a "belt delete" option since some/most of us are running aftermarket lower pulleys.

I will put up a final link when it hits his web page.

Thanks guys,
Stu

I've been looking for this same mount location and was about to build one for myself. Which alternator was the mount going to be made for? Do you know which balancer config it will be aligned for as well?

I believe factory F body alternator.
The belt kit is for a factory balancer, and because of the extra ribs on the new pulley for the alternator his goal is for it to work with all factory balancers.
He will have a "belt delete" option for guys like me that are running an aftermarket crank pulley.

Hope that helps.

I bought a upper driver side mount from speedway performance. It fit perfect and looked good. I know it's not the location you want but it's just fyi. It was about $120 or $150 if I remember correctly.
