Im going to be putting airride on my 55 belair but need to order the wheels first. Right now I have not purchased brakes yet so I cannot measure for myself. Has anyone here installed 20" up front with airride tubular A-Arms and either wildwood or Baer brakes without having rubbing issues? If so can you tell me what offset your running and your setup?

Thanks,
Ray

You need to know what brakes you want because they can change the offset needed. Typically I would run a 4.5 bs on an 8" wheel

If you are going to air it out and park, that will work. You wont be able to drive it around at much more than 2" below stock though.
Ive put together 2 tri-fives that are dropped 6" in the front (5.5" on the other). With a 0 or very little offset brake kit we run 18x7 with a 4.5" or 4.625" backspace and a 225/50/18 tire (28" tall). Both cars have very minimal rub.
The wilwood kit pushes the track out pretty far. We had to make our own C5 brake kit to end up with a slight negative offset.

I am running 17 x 7's with a 4" BS on the front of my wagon. No bags but it does have a CPP style disc brake kit on the front. With 235/45's I have no rubbing issues.
